The Treetop Story: Built in Canyon Lake
Treetop Targets was born out of a simple frustration: the steel targets available were either overpriced, poorly built, or heavy enough to kill your motivation before you even reached the firing line. Chris Kerr knew there had to be a better way — professional-grade AR500 targets that didn't require a crew to move. What started in a Canyon Lake backyard has grown into a full-scale family business, built the same way it's always been — right in our barn.
More About Us
The Day-to-Day
Chris Kerr is the foundation of Treetop — handling design, manufacturing, and the day-to-day decisions that keep quality consistent. Alongside him is Marshall, a junior in high school and the hands that help do much of the real work: assembly, painting, and deliveries. If a target shows up at your door, there's a good chance Marshall had a part in building it.
A Family Effort
Treetop has always been a family operation, even as the family spreads out. Isabella, finishing her Biomedical Engineering degree at Clemson, lends her eye to the engineering side — making sure our targets stay portable without cutting corners on durability. Barrett, wrapping up law school at SMU, handles the digital presence and brand. And Tanya keeps everything running smoothly, even when the shop talk follows everyone to the dinner table.
Texas Made Durability
What started with two targets has grown into a full lineup: the Pig, Bobcat, Coyote, Ram, Medium, and Whitetail Deer. Every one is cut from high-quality AR500 steel, made in Texas, and designed from the ground up to be moved by two people — no machinery, no excuses.
